Case Selection is a one of the most important steps of the accreditation process in which we determine if a optimal result with a given case can be achieved. In order to determine that, we have to know what an optimal result is and what does it take to achieve it. Based on “A Guide to Accreditation Criteria” available from AACD.com we can make a simple check list of all of the criteria that an ultimate out come is composed of. And then cross reference it with each and every case that we are considering as an accreditation case. Case Selection check list Will we be able to achieve?
Some of the above criteria are only possible to achieve in close team work between the dentist and the technician so it is essential for both parties to know how to evaluate and execute their portion of the treatment that at the end will complement the optimal result.
